"Only freestyle is true style"
I perfected my clean lines at an early age.
All my designs are created without sketches or erasers — that was a fundamental principle of my training — in a moment of pure inspiration. I like to call it freestyle.
It is pure energy and joy flowing directly into the lines.
Over the years, I have created several thousand patterns and motifs. I do it all myself, from digital mastering for optimal printing to perfect cutting patterns and individual web design.
Creativity, quality and recognition value are at the heart of the Banana Bastard brand.

My name is Don Horn (born in Salzburg in 1984).
As an independent, freelance artist, I don't follow trends or guidelines—
I only follow my vision: to make my style known through affordable fashion and art prints.
My goal is to expand my design studio, which, in addition to its three main areas of ART, FASHION & DESIGN, also aims to gain a foothold in the fields of animated film and gaming.
The desire to develop further led me to digital art, where I could work out even more details and playful concepts. Many of the newer illustrations are over 10m2 in size and took over 200 hours of work on the painting display.

The idea for the streetwear label Banana Bastard was born in Barcelona in 2006. At that time, I was traveling around Spain as an artist and painting abstract watercolors. The name "Banana Bastard" is catchy and internationally understandable, and it simply fits the wacky designs.
I love creating something new. When I'm painting, I'm in my element—everything else becomes irrelevant and all my stress disappears. If I don't paint for a long time, I feel like something is missing.
Since I work out complex concepts daily, the creative process has become even more fulfilling. I can dive into a project at any time and work on it for hours. I keep things interesting by switching back and forth between projects.
My web shop has been online since October 2025, bringing my vision of wearable art to life. In addition to quality, I focus on sustainability and the shortest possible supply chains.
Currently, I enjoy switching between digital and analog brushes and spray cans. In addition to standard pictures and large-format pieces, the studio also creates heavy sculptures made of plaster or clay.
