"Only freestyle is true style"
I perfected my clean lines at an early age.
All my designs are created without sketches or erasers — that was a fundamental principle of my training — in a moment of pure inspiration. I call this process 'freestyle flow'.
Pure energy flows directly into the lines, accompanied by my smile.
Over the years, I have created several thousand patterns and motifs in this way. I do it all myself, from digital mastering for print graphics to the arrangement of sewing patterns and web design.
Creativity, quality and recognition value are at the heart of the Banana Bastard brand.

My name is Don Horn (born in Salzburg in 1984).
As an independent artist, I don't follow trends or guidelines; I only follow my vision of making my style accessible to a wider audience through affordable fashion and high-quality art prints.
My goal is to continue expanding my design studio, which has three core divisions: art, fashion and design. I want to keep my work authentic, free and distinctive.
The desire to develop further led me to digital art, where I could work out even more details and playful concepts. Many of the newer illustrations are over 10m2 in size and took over 200 hours of work on the painting display.

Banana Bastard was born in Barcelona in 2006, right in the middle of my time as a travelling artist, collecting abstract images and wild adventures. The name is cheeky and can be understood internationally, and it fits perfectly with my wacky designs.
My fashion is for anyone who wants to celebrate their uniqueness. It brings subcultures together, breaks the rules and fills a niche that has been ignored for far too long with humour, character and great attention to detail.
Today, I switch effortlessly between digital and analogue work:
From illustrations to large-format canvases. In my studio, I also create sculptures from plaster or clay.
